12.12 Conjugation Introduction
While the stem provides the overall meaning, the conjugation provides additional descriptive information needed for translation
- Strictly speaking, Hebrew does not have past, present, future, tense, as with English
- Instead, the easiest way of thinking about it is that Hebrew has complete vs. incomplete action
- Perfect is completed action
- Imperfect is incomplete action
- Like English, Hebrew also has Imperative (Volitional), Infinitive, and Participle conjugations
